Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during procedures, prepare exam rooms, maintain a clean and sterile environment, and ensure patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for dental procedures by welcoming, comforting, and seating them. Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions). Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep the area clear using suction and other equipment. Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatory areas. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays). Maintain accurate patient records and charting. Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist. Schedule patient appointments and manage front-desk duties as needed. Ensure proper inventory of dental supplies and materials; order as necessary. Comply with all health and safety regulations, including infection control standards. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited dental assistant program preferred. State-specific dental assisting license or certification. CPR certification. X-ray certification (as required by state regulations). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to multitask. Knowledge of dental software Dentrix is a plus.
