What I’m looking for is someone that gets what it truly means to live in and affect a community. I’m looking for someone that wants to be a part of and respects being a part of a community. Someone that wants to affect people on an individual level and see’s the bigger picture of patient treatment and the privilege we have. I’m looking for someone that appreciates the depth of what it means to see a patient you just treated in a local grocery store and to know that you can look them in the eye and know you honestly have interacted with them with nothing but honesty and integrity to the highest level. Work ethic matters. Flow within a workplace continuum matters. Not working like you’re an island. Wanting to be a true part of a team matters. Desire to be great matters. Having a focus on what is yours and what you have built matters. Too many people in the profession today are comfortable with working here and there and are comfortable working at multiple offices having never built any sort of individual reputation for themselves that would carry them through. They have no patient following. That should say something. I want someone that respects and wants to build a patient pool that follows them because of who they are as an individual and what they provide for those patients as an individual such that those patients come to THEM and are not comfortable with anyone else.
