Our office has a rotating work scheduled so you only work 4 days a week and have a 4 day weekend every other week! We’re currently looking for a full-time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our friendly, dedicated team at Heritage Dental. The ideal candidate has experience in implant procedures and/or oral surgery and is confident in providing strong clinical support. We value your skills and offer competitive compensation, especially for those with surgical or implant experience. Responsibilities: Clinical Assisting: Perform a wide range of chairside duties as an EFDA, assisting the dentist with various procedures, including but not limited to: General Dentistry Implant procedures Oral surgery procedures IV Sedation Digital impressions Use of CBCT Removing excess cement Fabricating temporary crowns Take accurate X-rays and impressions Maintain workflow; digital systems and patient records Set up and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments according to strict infection control protocols Provide post-operative instructions to patients Manage dental supply inventory Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations Patient Care: Build strong relationships with patients and ensure their comfort throughout their visit Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care Monitor patient wait times and proactively keep patients informed of schedule delays Team Collaboration: Work effectively as a team member, collaborating with dentists, hygienists, and other staff Communicate with all team members Qualifications: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification required Certification of Radiologic Proficiency issued by the Oregon State Board of Dental BLS/CPR Certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe) Experience in implant procedures and/or oral surgery preferred 2+ years of dental assisting experience Knowledge of OpenDental software preferred Skills Proficiency in EFDA functions and clinical assisting Strong understanding of dental terminology, instruments, and equipment Knowledge of dental implant systems (NeoDent) Excellent chairside manners and ability to work with patients of all ages Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Detail-oriented and ability to maintain accurate records Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities Benefits: Health insurance: MODA (employer covers monthly premium for FT employee only) Retirement plan: Employer 2% contributions begin after the second anniversary for full-time team members.
