Orthodontic Assistant (OrthoCoach) Locations: Houston, TX & Lake Jackson, TX Compensation: Starting at $20/hour with 4+ years of experience At Cooper Orthodontics, we are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care using the most advanced technology available. We refer to our clinical assistants as OrthoCoaches because they do more than assist—they educate, guide, and support patients throughout their treatment. Who We’re Looking For An Orthodontic Assistant with 4+ years of clinical experience Someone reliable, proactive, and genuinely invested in providing 5-star patient care A team player who values camaraderie and enjoys working closely with colleagues A candidate who lives between Houston and Lake Jackson (preferred but not required) A detail-oriented individual who follows systems, processes, and maintains high professional standards What You’ll Do Perform standard orthodontic clinical procedures, including: Taking digital photos and x-rays Fabricating Essix retainers (using 3D Printer for models) Fitting bands and changing archwires Performing indirect and direct bonding Managing clinical inventory Navigating digital practice software efficiently Uphold all safety and infection control protocols Assist with patient communication throughout the day, including: Phone calls HIPAA-compliant text and email communication Support Dr. Cooper and the clinical team in all aspects of patient care Complete daily digital checklists and administrative tasks using Todoist Embrace digital workflows—our office is fully digital and uses software extensively for notes, lab work, and clinical processes Utilize iTero scanning, 3D printing, and other advanced technologies (training provided) What We Value: Strong communication skills—both verbal and written Enthusiasm for learning new systems and technologies A positive, professional attitude with a desire to contribute to a fun, supportive work environment A love for Apple computers and digital tools (we truly use them for everything!)
