Description

We are a busy Orofacial Pain and Sleep Medicine Practice looking for a Patient Care Specialist with 10+ years of periodontics, oral surgery and/or dental/medical assisting with phlebotomy experience. The right candidate will posses the ability and motivation to be a team player that has self-initiative, problem solving skills and can multi-task. The candidate will need to have a comfort in learning the latest in Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine and confidence in adjusting oral appliances after being properly trained. This person will assist the doctor with patient care. - Dental/medical assistant experience (required) - Set up treatment rooms for procedures - Phlebotomy experience (required) - Obtain and review health histories according to office protocol - Anticipate and assist physician’s needs - Chart patients and record date, service rendered and any charges - Ensure patient treatment notes are properly recorded in patient’s chart - Perform clinical procedures as practice allows and as directed - Give patient instruction and demonstrate when necessary - Monitor patient flow - Keep treatment rooms ready, stocked and clean - Promptly send out and monitor all laboratory cases including bloodwork - Implement the preventative maintenance/cleaning schedule for dental equipment - Follow laboratory procedures according to office protocol - Take X-rays and digital impressions as needed Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 - 4:30 Occasional Fridays, as needed Pay: Salary, DOE Full training is provided.
