Burton Family Dental Jerome is a new, modern practice located in the Jerome Village area of Plain City and we are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for team members who are passionate about patient care and who love the dental field. The Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in assisting the doctor chairside, educating patients on their treatment plans, and maintaining their oral health. The Dental Assistant must exhibit excellent customer service and professionalism to our patients and team members alike, while maintaining patient flow through the office. Responsibilities -Seat patients in treatment rooms and follow the established process for patient history -Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations -Assist patients in understanding their treatment options -Understand the daily patient schedule to maintain timeliness of appointments -Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate treatment plans effectively -Make temporary crowns (anterior esthetics a plus) -Assist with all direct composite restorations including anterior esthetic restorations -Chairside assisting with additional comprehensive dental treatments to include: crowns, endo, surgery, occlusal guards, partial dentures, and retainers -Take intraoral pictures, scans, x-rays, and upload into the practice management software -Prepare all treatment rooms including decontamination and set up of rooms, sterilizing and organizing instruments, cleaning handpieces, restocking supplies -Ensure the office environment is organized and welcoming for patients and staff alike -Maintain laboratory case inventory and communication between dental labs and office -Manage and maintain the inventory of practice supplies Requirements -At least three years of Dental Assisting experience -Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times -Understanding of Open Dental or equivalent practice management system -Proficiency in dental terminology and private practice scheduling -High School diploma, CPR certification, Radiology license -Coronal polishing certification and Nitrous monitoring certificate preferred -Cross training in other areas of private practice dentistry is welcome Benefits -Retirement plan -Dental insurance -Paid holidays -Flexible schedule -Referral program About The Practice Burton Family Dental Jerome is owned by Dr. Hannah Burton DDS, a seasoned dentist who has practiced in the area for over 13 years.
