Job description: We are looking for an ENTRY-LEVEL clinical dental assistant. We are a periodontal/dental implant/oral surgery practice so the assistants will be expected to assist in dental surgeries. We are looking for someone who is reliable (doesn't take too much time off work and comes on time), honest (does not steal things from office), and a team player (willing to help other staff). Importantly, we are looking for someone with pleasant/good attitude and work ethics. Depending on the work situation, sometimes the clinical assistant may be asked to help with administrative work as well. We use Dentrix software. Basic computer knowledge and skills are needed. Assistant should be proficient in typing and using Word. Responsibilities Welcome customers in the dental office Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Nitrous oxide certified Proficient in taking radiographs Understand basic dental knowledge Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Benefits: 401(k), Paid time off, Schedule: Mondays to Fridays Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour NOTE - the best way to reach our office is to text Dr. Ho ([sign in to DentalPost to see current contact info] who will get back to you promptly
