Role Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our patient focused dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. This role involves working closely with patients to provide high-quality dental hygiene services while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment. Responsibilities include: Performing thorough dental cleanings and utilizing aseptic techniques. Conducting patient assessments, including reviewing patient medical history. Educating patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental visits. Assisting in the documentation of patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality. Performing dental imaging as required, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols. Maintaining infection control standards in accordance with established guidelines. Providing chairside assistance as needed during various dental procedures. Maintaining knowledge of dental terminology and advancements in dentistry to enhance patient care. Qualifications Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Indiana. Experience with Dexis preferred. Knowledge of general dentistry principles, anatomy, and dental terminology is essential. Previous experience in a dental clinic or office setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients of all ages. Demonstrated ability to review patient documentation and ensure proper dental coding compliance. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to infection control protocols.
