NEED SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO WORK AND BE A TEAM PLAYER!!! The Front Office Treatment Coordinator is the first point of contact, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while managing the complex administrative flow of a dental practice. This role ensures a productive schedule for clinical staff and guides patients through treatment planning and financial obligations. Core Responsibilities Help with Patient Concierge: Greet patients, manage check-ins/outs, and handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism. Strategic Scheduling: Optimize provider production by booking, confirming, and adjusting appointments to minimize gaps and no-shows. Insurance Coordination: Verify coverage, obtain pre-authorizations, and submit electronic claims to insurance companies. MUST KNOW HOW TO DO TREATMENT PLANS AND PRESENT TO A PATIENT. Treatment Presentation: Explain proposed procedures and dental terminology in simple language and present financial estimates. Financial Management: Collect copayments at the time of service, set up payment plans (e.g., third-party financing), and manage accounts receivable. Records Compliance: Maintain accurate digital patient charts, ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA and privacy regulations. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Most practices prefer 1–3 years of experience in dental administration or a high-volume customer service role. Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with practice management software such as Dentrix ASCEND. Terminology: Solid understanding of dental procedures and billing codes (e.g., CDT codes). Soft Skills: Strong empathy for nervous patients, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Education: High school diploma required; many 2026 employers prefer additional certifications in dental office management. 2026 Salary & Benefits Trends Typical Salary: Ranges from $17–$27 heavily dependent on experience.
