 Job Title: Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) - Comprehensive & Perio-Focused Care Location: Watauga, Texas Position Type: [Part-Time] - 2 days a week 8:30am - 5:15pm About Us Joy Family Dental is a patient-centric, modern dental practice committed to delivering the highest standard of oral healthcare. We utilize the latest technology, including digital X-rays and intraoral scanners, to enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient education.  Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated, thorough, and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about periodontal health, detail-oriented in their clinical skills, and proactive in educating patients to improve their overall oral health.  Key Responsibilities: Comprehensive Care: Conduct thorough, gentle, and comprehensive periodontal probin and dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing. Perform initial screenings, head and neck inspections, and oral cancer screenings. Periodontal Health Specialist: Evaluate, chart, and monitor periodontal health using accurate probing techniques. Develop and implement individualized periodontal care plans. Digital Diagnostics & Technology: Take high-quality digital X-rays and utilize intraoral scanners (Primescan) to create digital impressions and enhance patient education. Patient Education & Relationships: Build lasting relationships by educating patients on the connection between periodontal health and systemic health. Demonstrate proper oral hygiene techniques (brushing, flossing, interdental cleaning) to patients. Sterilization & Organization: Maintain strict adherence to sterilization protocols, ensuring all instruments are properly sterilized, packaged, and stored. Keep operatories clean, organized, and fully stocked according to infection control standards. Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed patient records/charts.  Requirements  Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Texas. Valid CPR/BLS certification. Proficiency in digital radiography and, ideally, digital intraoral scanning technology. Strong knowledge of periodontal disease management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort.  Proficient in Dental Software. What We Offer: Competitive hourly rate: $45-55/hour (depending on experience.)
