We are looking for an energetic and caring DA 1 or 2 to join our Team. Our Practice is a high quality, customer service-oriented office where you would be proud to work. Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience required. Office Hours - Mon/Tues 8-5, Wed/Thurs 6:30-3:30 - Necessary to arrive 15 minutes prior to clinic start time for huddle Essential Skills: • Excellent dental assisting and communication skills • Knowledge of general and cosmetic dentistry (digital x-rays, impressions, crown prep, treatment plans, restorative treatment) • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment • Friendly and personable disposition with the ability to interact professionally with patients and our Team • Experience with Dentrix practice management software is a plus Responsibilities: • Assist dentist by handling supplies and instruments as requested • Prepare tables and trays for Dentist with necessary instruments and supplies • Clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare treatment rooms as needed • Take high quality digital dental radiographs and intraoral pictures • Ensure an appropriate supply of equipment and materials • Operate technology and use available patient education videos and materials • Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist • Support front desk with patient calls, check-in, and check-out and any other activity as directed by the office manager • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds Education: High school diploma or GED certificate Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting (Qualified Dental Assistant) License and/or Certification: DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) Certification NC SPICE certified- NC State Program for Infection Control and Epidemiology Radiography Certified- NC Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Conscious Sedation Certified (beneficial but not required) Coronal Polishing Certified (beneficial but not required) Benefits (After 90 Day): • Competitive hourly rate based on experience • Two weeks of paid time off (PTO) – accrues each pay period - prorated annually based on hire date • Four days of sick/ personal time away – granted per calendar year – prorated based on hire date • Holiday pay eligible • Unlimited continuing education via Spear Education • Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Dental Benefits Plan for employee and family • Simple IRA available with a 3% employer match • Incentive bonus paid quarterly based on practice collection goals
