Job Overview Our friendly and growing general and orthodontic practice is seeking a motivated and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about providing excellent patient care. You will assist in orthodontic procedures, help create a welcoming environment for patients, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during orthodontic procedures including braces adjustments, wire changes, and appliance placements Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms Take dental X-rays, photographs, and impressions as needed Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care Maintain accurate patient records and update charts Ensure infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines are followed Support front office when needed (scheduling, patient check-in/out) Qualifications Dental Assistant certification preferred (state requirements apply) Experience in orthodontics is a plus Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
