Registered Dental Assistant Part-Time - Typically 24 hr/wk (*) (*) Paid time off for part-time positions scheduled for 24 hr/wk Volunteers in Medicine – New Braunfels, TX Practice dental care in a supportive, purpose-driven Christian environment without the restrictions of insurance. New Braunfels Christian Ministries (NBCM) is seeking an experienced Registered Dental Assistant to join our Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) clinic, an established nonprofit clinic delivering high-quality, compassionate care in our new medical and dental facility in New Braunfels. This position is ideal for a dental assistant with at least three (3) years of experience providing chairside assistance who values thoughtful dental care, meaningful patient relationships, and sharing the love of Christ. At VIM, providers focus on patient care instead of insurance requirements and productivity pressures. You will work with a collaborative team of staff and volunteer dentists who support high-quality, conservative care for uninsured adults. This role is best suited for an experienced dental assistant who: • Is confident assisting multiple dentists • Enjoys being on an integrative health team • Values patient relationships • Is motivated by service to others • Wants to share the love of Christ by investing in patients, staff and volunteers. REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • High School Diploma or GED • Minimum of (3) years' experience as a Dental Assistant • Radiology certificate • Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant license • Current CPR Certification PREFERRED SKILLS • Bilingual (Spanish) • Experience with Eaglesoft and/or Athena electronic medical records General Schedule to provide patient care is Mon 1-5; Tues 8-12; Wed 1-5; Thurs 8-12; Friday 8-12 as needed. Admin time to order supplies, sterilize, etc. is in addition to these hours.
