Overview We are a privately owed practice seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable private dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and terminology. This role involves providing comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health services, assisting in maintaining a safe and efficient dental environment, and ensuring compliance with all health regulations. Experience with Dentrix is preferred. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in patient assessment, education, and treatment planning to promote optimal oral health outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, radiographs, 3D & intraoral scanning • Conduct thorough patient assessments and charting • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, treatment needs, and preventive care • Maintain infection control & safety task • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient experiences • Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols • Contribute to a positive, team oriented environment What We’re Looking For • Active Alabama Dental Hygiene License • Strong communication and patient education skills • A caring, team oriented mindset • Self-starter • Someone who takes ownership of their patients • Commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing learning • Experience with digital radiography and modern dental technology (preferred but not required) • Monday–Thursday schedule, supporting work/life balance • Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays • Continuing education and mentorship opportunities
