Who you are You are Friendly and confident Current dental hygiene license and xray certification and anesthesia license strong communication and patient care skills detail-oriented and team-focused Job Description: Perform dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance takes digital radiographs Educate patients on oral health and home care chart periodontal conditions and maintain accurate records Work closely with the dentist to support patient treatment Summary FULL-TIME hours: Monday 8-5, Tuesday 9-5, Wednseday 9-5, Thursday 9-6, Friday 9-4. Our clinical hours are 4 days a week. Full time Benefits Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations. Perform dental cleanings and prophylaxis, applying fluoride treatments and sealants as needed. Administer local anesthetics Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing Dentrix software. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the office. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and general dentistry principles. Experience in dental assisting is preferred, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings. Proficient in patient assessment techniques and comfortable performing clinical procedures. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. A commitment to providing compassionate care and enhancing the patient experience.
