Description

We are seeking a reliable, skilled and compassionate Periodontal Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high quality periodontal care and patient education in a professional and welcoming environment. Experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates who demonstrate strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care. Responsibilities: Perform periodontal charting and assessments/review health history records Knowledge of Dentrix and Dexis programs Sterilize dental instruments properly Sharpening dental instruments as needed Educate patients on periodontal health and home care Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes (Paper chart) Assist in developing and maintaining periodontal maintenance programs Collaborate with dentists and team members to ensure comprehensive care Hygienist is allowed 1 hour for each patient Doctor performs all SRP treatments, hygienist only performs perio maintenance Qualifications: Current Dental Hygienist license in Texas Current CPR certification Experience in periodontal care preferred Some knowledge of periodontal disease and treatment protocols Excellent communication and patient care skills Ability to work efficiently in a team oriented environment
