Description
Key Responsibilities and Duties Preventive Care: Removing soft and hard deposits (scaling and polishing) from teeth to prevent decay and gum disease. Oral Health Assessment: Reviewing medical history, conducting oral cancer screenings, performing periodontal charting, and documenting findings. Diagnostic Imaging: Taking, developing, and reviewing dental X-rays to assist the dentist in diagnosis. Patient Education: Teaching patients proper brushing and flossing techniques, as well as providing nutritional counseling for better oral health. Preventive Treatments: Applying fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth. Collaboration: Working alongside dentists to implement treatment plans and maintaining sterile, organized operatories
