Our friendly and growing orthodontic practice in Richmond, Texas, is looking for a Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team full-time. We're passionate about creating beautiful smiles and making every patient feel like family from the moment they walk through the door. As an orthodontic dental assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the doctor, caring for patients, and helping the clinical team run efficiently. The ideal candidate is positive, organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with both children and adults. Key Responsibilities: Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures and adjustments Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments Take digital x-rays, photos, and impressions/scans as needed Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment instructions Maintain accurate patient records and charting Help manage patient flow to keep appointments running on schedule Stock and organize clinical supplies Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional experience for patients and parents Ideal Candidate: Prior dental or orthodontic assisting experience Current dental assisting certification/license as required by state law X-ray certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical setting Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic Professional appearance and positive demeanor Experience with digital charting/software is a plus Benefits: Competitive hourly pay based on experience Uniforms Paid holidays and PTO Supportive and fun work environment Opportunities for growth and development Employee discount on orthodontic services 401K plan
