Description
Position Title: Lead Expanded Dental Assistant (Implants & Digital Dentistry) Location: Coppell & Arlington, Texas Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Expanded Dental Assistant to join our growing private practice. This role is ideal for a confident, skilled professional who can support both clinical and administrative workflows while taking on a leadership role within the team. This is not a traditional assistant position — we are looking for someone who can help drive efficiency, enhance patient experience, and grow alongside the practice long-term. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support: Assist doctor chairside in advanced procedures, including implants and full-arch (All-on-4) cases Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical setups Support surgical workflows including extractions, bone grafting, and implant placement Take digital impressions, X-rays, and intraoral scans Assist with CAD-CAM workflows and temporary/final restorations Patient Management: Guide patients through treatment phases with clear communication and confidence Support case acceptance by reinforcing treatment plans and patient education Ensure a high-level patient experience from consultation through treatment completion Front & Back Office Support: Assist with scheduling coordination and workflow efficiency Collaborate with front office team to ensure smooth patient flow Help manage case progression, follow-ups, and treatment readiness Leadership & Growth: Take initiative in improving systems and clinical efficiency Help train and support team members as needed Maintain accountability and high standards across the practice Serve as a key team leader in a growth-focused environment Qualifications 5+ years of dental assisting experience required Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) preferred (or equivalent experience) Strong experience with dental implants and surgical procedures Familiarity with CAD-CAM and digital dentistry workflows Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Leadership mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented attitude What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Bonus and performance incentives Opportunity to grow into a leadership role Stable, long-term position working directly with one doctor Supportive, growth-driven team culture Lab & CAD-CAM Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain clear communication with dental laboratories to ensure accuracy, timelines, and quality of restorations Manage case submissions, prescriptions, and follow-ups with labs for implants, full-arch cases, crowns, and prosthetics Take responsibility for in-house digital workflows, including scanning, design, and milling processes Assist with CAD-CAM design for crowns, bridges, temporaries, and full-arch restorations (training available for the right candidate) Operate and maintain in-office milling units and related digital equipment Ensure proper case documentation, file management, and digital organization for lab and CAD-CAM cases Collaborate closely with the doctor to ensure design accuracy, occlusion, esthetics, and function Troubleshoot and adjust restorations as needed prior to delivery Maintain quality control standards for all lab and in-house fabricated cases Note: Candidate must be willing to learn and expand skills in CAD-CAM design, digital dentistry workflows, and in-house milling technologies.
