Full-Time Associate Dentist – Path to Partnership Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated general dentist to serve as the primary solo provider at our Reston location. This role requires a clinician who is comfortable managing their own schedule, delivering comprehensive care across diverse age groups, and leading a small, dedicated support team. Elite Executive Support: You are backed by a dedicated Director of Operations and an outsourced Revenue Cycle Management team handling HR, billing, and marketing. This infrastructure allows you to lead clinically and influence growth without being bogged down by administrative headaches. Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for pediatric and adult populations. Perform a wide range of procedures including restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, cosmetic procedures, extractions, and root canal therapy. Co-diagnose with the dental hygienist to ensure comprehensive periodontal and restorative care. Ensure all infection control protocols and aseptic techniques are strictly followed to promote patient safety. Maintain accurate, same-day clinical documentation and verify procedure codes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Operational Responsibilities Lead the daily morning huddle with the front desk and dental staff to review the schedule, optimize production, and ensure effective four-handed dentistry practices. Represent the practice at local marketing initiatives, community events, and networking opportunities to drive new patient growth and establish a strong presence in the Reston community. Maintain a high standard of patient communication to drive retention, positive reviews, and internal referrals. Work collaboratively with the administrative team and outsourced billing department to ensure a smooth clinical workflow. Compensation & Partnership Track Competitive Compensation: 35% of Net Collections, with an estimated earning potential of $180,000 - $250,000+ annually based on current patient flow. To support your transition, we offer a competitive daily minimum guarantee for your first 6 months (negotiable based on clinical experience), ensuring peace of mind while you build your clinical rhythm For the right candidate who demonstrates clinical leadership and helps drive practice growth, a formal partnership evaluation will occur after 24 months of continuous employment. Flexible Earn-In Model: We offer flexible pathways to ownership. You can choose a traditional hybrid buy-in or a 'no upfront capital' model, allowing you to earn your equity through compensation distributions and sweat equity as the practice grows. Zero traditional bank financing is required. Qualifications DDS or DMD from an accredited institution. Active, unrestricted dental license in the state of Virginia. 2 to 5 years of proven clinical experience as a General Dentist strongly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in performing complex procedures such as extractions and endodontics. Prior experience utilizing OpenDental practice management software is highly desirable. Ability to lead a clinical team and work efficiently as a solo provider.
