Description
As a Front Office Employee here at Highlands Family Dentistry, you are the heartbeat of the practice. You will oversee the daily administrative flow, optimize the schedule, manage patient accounts, and present treatment plans with clarity and empathy. The ideal candidate would have a deep expertise in dental billing, insurance verification, and scheduling workflows, along with a passion for building lasting patient relationships. Key Responsibilities: Patient Hospitality: Welcome patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and ensure an upscale, stress-free first impression. Schedule Optimization: Oversee the practice matrix to maximize daily production, minimize gaps, and manage active cancellation lists. Insurance & Billing: Supervise accurate insurance verification, submit clean electronic claims, track pre-authorizations, and process patient co-pays. Treatment Coordinating: Present comprehensive treatment plans to patients, clearly explaining clinical recommendations, insurance coverage, and flexible payment/financing options. Team Leadership: Manage front-desk administrative flows, maintain clear communication between the front office and clinical team, and help implement efficient protocols. Accounts Receivable: Monitor daily aging reports, follow up on outstanding insurance claims, and send polite, professional patient balance reminders. Qualifications & Skills Experience: Minimum of 2–3+ years of experience working in a dental front office or as a dental office manager. Software Fluency: Strong proficiency in our dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix and Dexis. Experience with digital scanning logs or modern communication software is a plus. Insurance Knowledge: Robust understanding of dental PPO plans, fee schedules, ADA dental codes, and claim narrative optimization. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional phone demeanor. Problem-Solving: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking calmly in a fast-paced clinical environment.
