Job description: Part Time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Job Summary: We are expanding and seeking a dynamic and compassionate Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our Dental team on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! The EFDA assists in the performance of quality, caring, clinical dentistry by aiding the doctor smoothly and unobtrusively during examinations and treatment. In this vital role, you will perform clinical and technical procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help streamline clinic operations, enhance the patient experience, and support our doctors in delivering exceptional care. Responsibilities, include but are not limited to: Manage patient treatment processes, including reviewing and maintaining the patient's chart, appointment scheduling, and collecting necessary documentation. Assist with treatment plan coordination by communicating with patients about upcoming procedures and follow-up care Assist doctors with patient's treatment appointments Provide customer service support for doctors, patients and the treatment coordinator Prepare treatment rooms for future appointments Maintain cleanliness of all treatment rooms, instruments, laboratories and sterilizing area. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring confidentiality during documentation review Qualifications: Exceptional customer service skills Strong organizational skills with attention to details Ability to review documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards Special Requirements/Certifications/Licenses: Valid X-ray certificate Current EFDA license CPR & first aid certificate
