EXPERIENCED DENTAL ASSISTANT – FULL TIME White Oak Family Dental Downers Grove, Illinois Pay: $24–$29 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated clinical skills Schedule: Full-time, 32 or more hours per week Primary location: Downers Grove Additional location: Occasional scheduled coverage at our Naperville office ABOUT THE POSITION White Oak Family Dental is seeking an experienced, dependable Dental Assistant who is looking for a stable, long-term position in a modern general dentistry practice. This is primarily a clinical position. We are looking for someone who is confident chairside, organized, proactive and able to anticipate the doctor’s and patient’s needs. The ideal candidate takes ownership of the clinical flow, communicates professionally and helps create a calm, efficient experience for patients and coworkers. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT • A clearly defined clinical role • A consistent full-time schedule • Respectful and direct communication • A team approach when the office is busy • Compensation based on experience and demonstrated skills • Performance and compensation reviews based on contributions, skills and practice performance • Training in digital dentistry, implant procedures and modern clinical workflows • Occasional Naperville coverage scheduled in advance • A practice seeking a dependable, long-term team member CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide chairside assistance during restorative, crown and bridge, endodontic, surgical, implant and other general dentistry procedures • Prepare, stock and turn over treatment rooms • Follow OSHA, sterilization and infection-control protocols • Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs • Assist with conventional impressions and intraoral scanning • Maintain accurate clinical charting and documentation • Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene guidance • Maintain instruments, equipment and clinical supplies • Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs • Anticipate procedural needs and help keep the clinical schedule organized and efficient • Support other team members when necessary to maintain patient care and office flow QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of two years of dental assisting experience required • Five or more years of general dentistry experience strongly preferred • Strong chairside assisting and organizational skills • Experience with restorative, crown and bridge, endodontic and surgical procedures • Comfortable taking digital radiographs • Familiarity with dental practice-management software • Experience with intraoral scanners, implants or digital workflows is a plus • Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented • Friendly, calm and professional with patients • Able to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team • Interested in becoming a long-term member of the practice • Able to work occasional scheduled shifts at our Naperville location COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS • $24–$29 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated clinical skills • Full-time schedule of 32 or more hours per week • Group medical insurance available for full-time employees after the applicable waiting period • Employee dental benefit after six months of uninterrupted full-time employment • 32 hours of paid vacation after one year of full-time service • Paid holidays, subject to eligibility and regularly scheduled workdays • Continuing education and training support • Opportunities to expand skills in intraoral scanning, digital dentistry, implant procedures and advanced general dentistry ABOUT OUR PRACTICE White Oak Family Dental provides comprehensive family, cosmetic and implant dentistry in a modern, patient-centered environment.
