We are seeking a skilled , passionate, and extroverted Dental Hygienist of 5+ years to join our team for a long term career. Looking for either full time hygienist or part time. We are a fee for service, adult general nand cosmetic dental practice that has been growing and expanding. The practice is focused on provided high quality care, and patient centric experiences. We focus on relationship building, and providing friendly experiences to our patients. Our patients are truly treated like friends and family. Our goal is not to just optimize oral health, but to create a reason that makes patients enjoy coming to the dentist. Our practice has been in the area for over 30 years and we are rapidly growing. We consider hygienists as health care providers that are integral to life long health of the patient. From the Doctor: Pay can be extremely competitive for the perfect candidate. I am looking for someone who is friendly, enjoys engaging with patients, is passionate about educating patients on hygiene and utilizes all resources available (threadrers, proxabrush, SDF, Laser, Anesthesia etc,) and who has the appropriate clinical skills that can be delivered with a gentle touch. I like someone that believes in always learning. I take extensive notes on my patients, and track their health thoroughly, and need my hygienist to play the same role. If you are knowledgeable in dental sleep medicine, and myofunctional therapy that is a huge plus. I would like a team member that knows how to recognize decay and communicate this to both the patient and the doctor. I value my dental hygienists, and have no problem ensuring they have the proper tools to provide care. We have cavitrons built into ADEC chairs in half the office, and Cavitron Plus units in the other half. We support our hygienists with new equipment when requested so they could do their job as effectively as possible. E.g. No worn out cavitron tips, all equipment/tools are quality, Hu Friedy scalers etc. Responsibilities: - Update medical history/perio chart - Perform prophylaxis, periodontal mainteance and/or scaling and root planning - Conduct thorough oral examinations and screenings for signs of oral disease/ oral cancer - Clean rooms/bag and sterilize equipment - Take x-rays as prescribed - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care - Monitor nitrous oxide as needed - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Dentrix/Dexis Qualifications: - Valid state dental hygiene license - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program - Proficiency in Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Strong ability to maintain accuracy in documentation - 5 years minimum experience Bonus Skills: - Familiarity with digital scanning for patient wellness scans - Dental Sleep medicine/tongue ties/myofunctional therapy - Curodont and Seal and Protect - Local Anesthesia license -Laser certifeid *** If you are not Local anesthesia certified or laser certified, it will be paid CE by the the office to obtain licensure
