Job Summary Kirtley & Stuckwisch Dental, a privately owned three doctor practice located in Seymour, Indiana, is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. In this vital role, you will provide top-quality preventive dental care, educate patients on oral health practices, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper technique and patient safety Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records using Dentrix software Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality Monitor and operate dental equipment safely while ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with healthcare regulations Requirements Valid Indiana licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist Experience is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and medical records management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Expertise in infection control practices including sterilization techniques and healthcare infection prevention standards Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient care coordination Commitment to HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail Join us in delivering outstanding dental care that transforms smiles!
