Experienced General Dentist – Permanent & Fill-In Opportunities Dental Emergency Care – Irving, TX Timewise Dental – Fort Worth, TX Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099) | Permanent Part-Time/Full-Time & Fill-In Opportunities Join Our Team Dental Emergency Care and Timewise Dental are established, fast-paced, fee-for-service dental practices providing comprehensive general and emergency dental care. We are currently seeking experienced General Dentists for both our Irving and Fort Worth locations. Our priority is finding dentists interested in establishing consistent, permanent days with our practices. However, we are also accepting experienced providers who are available for fill-in coverage on our current open September dates. Fill-in coverage can also be a great opportunity for both the provider and practice to determine whether a permanent schedule would be a good fit. Clinical Experience Required Candidates must have at least two years of general dentistry experience and be comfortable independently performing a broad range of procedures, including: Second molar endodontic treatment Routine and surgical extractions Impacted third molar/wisdom tooth extractions Restorative and emergency dentistry Comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning Same-day treatment when clinically appropriate New graduates will not be considered for this position. Current September Fill-In Availability Providers may select one, several, or multiple available shifts based on availability. Both full-time and part-time permanent schedules will be considered. Permanent providers must be available to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) each week as part of their regular schedule. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental examinations and diagnose oral health conditions. Provide general, restorative, surgical, endodontic, and emergency dental treatment within your clinical competency. Independently perform second molar root canal therapy. Independently perform routine, surgical, and impacted third molar extractions. Diagnose and treat emergency and walk-in patients. Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on patients' clinical needs. Provide same-day treatment when clinically appropriate. Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment recommendations, alternatives, and expectations to patients. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation. Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to maintain efficient patient flow. Professionally address and de-escalate patient concerns while maintaining a high standard of patient care and customer service. Minimum Qualifications DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school Active Texas Dental License in good standing Minimum two years of clinical experience in general dentistry No new graduates Proficient in second molar endodontics Proficient in routine, surgical, and impacted third molar extractions Comfortable treating dental emergencies Strong comprehensive treatment-planning skills Strong communication and patient-education skills Sound clinical judgment and independent decision-making abilities Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Active professional liability/malpractice insurance Ability to meet all requirements to practice as an independent contractor in Texas We are looking for experienced general dentists who are comfortable completing the majority of procedures that fall within their clinical competency rather than routinely referring procedures they are qualified and experienced to perform.
