Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Clear Creek Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on dental assisting experience. Pediatric dental experience is strongly encouraged, and professional references will be checked. We are looking for someone who is confident, dependable, motivated, and ready to work in a fast-paced pediatric dental environment. You must genuinely LOVE working with children and be comfortable working independently while also being an excellent team player. The ideal candidate will be able to read and understand the schedule and recognize where they are needed throughout the day without needing to be directed through every step. Flexibility, attention to detail, strong communication, initiative, and teamwork are essential. Qualifications Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification in the State of Texas Current BLS certification Minimum 3 years of hands-on dental assisting experience Pediatric dental experience strongly preferred Experience taking dental X-rays using ScanX and phosphor plates Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Able to work independently and anticipate the needs of the doctor and team Professional, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Must be comfortable working with children and their families Nitrous oxide certification is a plus Experience with Dentrix/Dexis is a must The RDA will be responsible for supporting the doctor and clinical team while maintaining an efficient and organized clinical environment. Responsibilities include: Set up and break down operatories for scheduled treatments. Read and interpret the appointment schedule to anticipate where assistance is needed. Prepare patients for treatment and assist the doctor chairside. Accurately chart and document treatment. Clean, disinfect, and turn over treatment rooms efficiently. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Complete patient charts and ensure required documentation is entered. Take and process dental X-rays using ScanX and phosphor plate systems. Monitor patient vital signs as needed. Sterilize instruments and maintain proper sterilization procedures. Restock operatories and clinical supplies. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully prepared clinical environment. Anticipate the needs of the doctor and clinical team without requiring constant direction. Assist in the recall and exam areas as needed. Work collaboratively with the entire team to maintain an efficient patient flow. The RDA will also assist the doctor with the office’s monthly IV sedation schedule. IV sedation days are typically held once per month, normally on the first Tuesday. These days may require an early start time of approximately 5:00 AM and departure of 12PM. The RDA will assist with the preparation and workflow associated with IV sedation patients. Candidates must be comfortable with the early start time and understand that IV sedation days require flexibility, preparation, and strong teamwork.
