Dentistry for Kids
Job Description
About the Role
What Is In It For You This is not a role where you simply keep the schedule running; it is a role where your leadership shapes the daily experience of every child, parent, and team member who walks through the door. As Manager, you will build a team culture worth staying for, sharpen skills that carry into any dental management career, and see the direct results of your work in patient growth, staff retention, and a practice that runs smoothly because of the systems you put in place. You will have real ownership: your ideas on team building, meeting structure, and patient outreach will shape how the practice operates, not sit in a suggestion box. Why Dentistry for Kids Is Different Dentistry for Kids is built around one focus: creating a positive, low-anxiety dental experience for children from their very first visit. Every workflow, every piece of training, and every interaction here is designed specifically around what works for kids and the parents who bring them in. That specialization means staff develop a distinct expertise, patients build lasting trust in the practice, and the Manager plays a central role in protecting and reinforcing that culture as the team grows. A Day in This Role On a given day, the Manager might end the day by reviewing the schedule and staffing coverage, lead huddle to align the team on the day's priorities, coach a front office team member through a scheduling challenge, review Eaglesoft entries for accuracy, follow up on a batch of patient call backs to fill open chair time, and close out the day by reconciling collections, confirming the next day's schedule, and ensuring the practice is ready to open smoothly the following morning. No two days look identical, but each one centers on keeping the team supported, the patients cared for, and the practice's numbers on track. Key Responsibilities Train staff on Eaglesoft, including scheduling, charting, and reporting functions, and serve as the team's go-to resource for troubleshooting the system Oversee end of day closing procedures for every business day, ensuring collections are reconciled, the schedule is confirmed, and the practice is fully prepared to open the next morning Manage the day-to-day staffing of the practice, including scheduling, coverage, and performance support for front office and clinical support staff Conduct and oversee patient call backs to fill open appointment slots and grow the practice's active patient base Lead team building efforts that strengthen collaboration and morale among staff Plan and run efficient staff meetings that respect the team's time while keeping everyone aligned on goals and priorities What We Are Looking For A candidate who leads with warmth and structure in equal measure: someone comfortable coaching a team through a busy day, confident using practice management software, Eaglesoft, and motivated by the idea of building a workplace where staff want to stay and patients want to return.
