The Expanded Functions Dental Assistant will support our talented doctors across a broad range of services. We are offering a $500 sign-on bonus. What You'll Do
- Provide expert chairside assistance to the dentist using four-handed dentistry techniques across a variety of procedures: restorative, cosmetic, implants, laser dentistry, periodontal therapy, endodontics, children's dentistry, clear aligner treatment, TMJ/TMD, sleep appliances, and more
- Prepare operatories, instruments, and materials prior to each appointment
- Take and process dental radiographs in compliance with Iowa state regulations
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols
- Ensure patient comfort and provide compassionate support throughout every phase of treatment
- Take impressions, document treatment notes, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA
What You'll Bring
Required
- Iowa Dental Assistant Registration (issued by the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners) and certification in Expanded Functions
- Current CPR certification required
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and digital radiography
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with patients of all ages
- Impeccable attention to detail and a team oriented mindset
Preferred
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience
