If you’re passionate about dental hygiene, take pride in patient care, and enjoy being part of a supportive team, we’d love to meet you! *Any trained foreign dentist is welcome to apply, provided they have passed the state hygiene board.* About the Role As a Dental Hygienist at McLean Family Dentistry, you will provide essential preventive care, educate patients on oral health, and support dentists in delivering high-quality treatment. You will play a key role in maintaining our office’s positive patient experience and smooth workflow. Key Responsibilities Include: Conducting thorough dental cleanings, exams, and patient screenings Taking and documenting medical histories, vital signs, and oral health assessments Educating patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Preparing dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms for procedures Using specialized tools, including oral cancer screening devices (experience a plus) Supporting dentists during procedures as needed Maintaining accurate patient records in dental software (Open Dental experience a plus) Promoting a comfortable, professional, and positive patient experience What We’re Looking For: Valid Dental Hygienist license Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and patient care Experience with dental software (Open Dental preferred) Excellent communication skills and warm, professional demeanor Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Anesthesia certification a plus Experience using oral cancer screening devices a plus Schedule: Monday–Thursday · 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Friday · 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM Flexible hours for part-time candidates Benefits & Perks: Competitive pay (from $70/hr, based on experience) Health insurance + dental coverage 401(k) + matching PTO + paid holidays Employee discounts Flexible scheduling Modern, supportive, and collaborative office environment Continuing education credit opportunities Quarterly team outings and growth opportunities Free Parking We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates professionally, and thrives in a growing, patient-focused team environment.
