About the Role
To be a successful dentist in our health center, you should be caring, communicative, and experienced in diagnosing and treating dental ailments. This position will play a key role in providing quality dental care in our fast-growing primary and integrated care facilities.
What You'll Do
- Meeting with patients to discuss and treat dental concerns, perform routine exams and other preventative procedures, and establish a plan for better oral health
- Performing dental procedures, such as extractions, root canals, and filling
- Applying helpful agents to teeth, such as sealants or whiteners
- Design and fit dental prosthetics, such as bridges, crowns and dentures
- Prescribing medications for dental problems, such as pain medications or antibiotics
- Giving clients sedatives or anesthesia prior to administering treatments
What You'll Bring
Required
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from a dental education program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Licensed by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners as a general dentist
- Possess a National Board Dental Examination license for general dentistry
- DEA
Preferred
- Ability to be clinically fluent in Spanish
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices
