About the Role
We are a friendly general dental practice seeking a motivated Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with basic front desk and computer skills who is eager to learn. We are happy to train the right candidate on dental-specific procedures, insurance claims processing, verifications, and Dentrix software.

Located in Hawthorne, NJ, Dental Arts Design is a caring general and cosmetic dental practice led by Dr. Margaret E. Somers, DMD. We offer a full range of services—including preventive care, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and care for children—in a relaxed, stress-free environment where patients of all ages feel welcome. Dr. Somers and her team are dedicated to helping every patient achieve a healthy, confident smile through personalized care and the latest dental techniques.
What You'll Do
- Greet and welcome patients with a warm, professional demeanor
- Collect co-payments and process patient payments (including via Cherry)
- Schedule appointments and recalls
- Coordinate the doctor’s schedule
- Perform appointment confirmations
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Handle patient communications (phones, emails, and texting via RevenueWell)
- Submit insurance claims electronically (eClaims)
- Additional front office support as needed
What You'll Bring
Required
- Basic front desk or customer service experience preferred
- Comfortable with computers and learning new software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- No prior dental experience required — we will train the right person
