Position: Dental Assistant Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Dezavala Dental About the Position We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support the dentist during clinical procedures, help maintain an organized and efficient office, and provide excellent patient care. This position also requires assisting with patient recall and scheduling responsibilities when needed to support the office's daily operations. Job Responsibilities Clinical Duties • Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments. • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before and after procedures. • Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection control and safety protocols. • Take dental X-rays as permitted by applicable state requirements and certifications. • Prepare patients for treatment and help ensure their comfort throughout appointments. • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and update patient records as needed. • Monitor and maintain dental supplies and notify management when supplies need to be reordered. • Follow all office policies, OSHA guidelines, and applicable dental regulations. Patient Care and Office Support • Greet patients professionally and help create a positive patient experience. • Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment procedures and post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist. • Assist with keeping operatories and clinical areas clean, stocked, and organized. • Work collaboratively with the dentist, hygienists, and front-office team to maintain an efficient schedule. • Assist with recall lists, appointment confirmations, and patient follow-up as needed. • Complete recall responsibilities in addition to regular dental assisting duties when needed. Qualifications • Previous dental assisting experience preferred. • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced dental office. • Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented. • Willingness to assist with both clinical and administrative responsibilities as needed. • Current certifications and credentials required for assigned duties under applicable state regulations.
