About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our oral surgery team. In this vital role, you will assist the surgeon in a variety of surgical procedures, ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities and provide exceptional patient care. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and patient management will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. What You'll Do
- Assist surgeon chairside during a variety of oral surgery procedures including extractions, biopsies, and dental implants
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection prevention management protocols
- Take digital dental x-rays and 3D scans
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure patient safety during IV sedation procedures
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and instructions
What You'll Bring
Required
- Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure
- Proven experience as a dental assistant, preferably oral surgery
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners effectively
- Strong understanding of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control expertise
