Position Summary:
A Surgical Dental Assistant is a hybrid role between dental assistant and a surgical technologist. There’s never a boring day! Not only will you have direct patient care pre and post operatively with patients, but you will also assist during surgical procedures. Procedures include IV sedation; extractions; wisdom teeth removal; implants; biopsies; and more!
· Provide surgeon with consistent quality clinical assistance during surgery
· Prepare and maintain the clinical facility, including sterilization of instruments, autoclave, supply ordering, and more.
· Review pre-operative and post-operative information with patients, address patient’s general questions
· Complete suture removal and dressing changes

Pay
· $19.00-$24.00 per hour. Annual merit-based increases
Qualifications and Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Dental Assisting or Medical Assisting Certification or equivalent experience
· Satisfactory Completion of approved Radiography Course or willingness to complete
· Current CPR certification or willingness to complete
· Ability to make critical decisions
· Ability to participate in prolonged walking, standing, stooping, and reaching
· Ability to lift 50+ pounds and assist patients in transportation to vehicles after surgery

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
