Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and personable individual to join our team as a Dental Front Desk Receptionist. As the face of our practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. Proficiency in Open Dental software is essential for this role, as you will be managing patient appointments, handling inquiries, and assisting with billing and insurance processing.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients warmly and ensure a positive experience throughout their visit
- Schedule and confirm appointments using Open Dental software
- Answer phone calls and address patient questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Verify insurance coverage and process claims accurately and efficiently
- Collect patient payments and provide billing information as needed
- Maintain organized patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry
- Collaborate with the dental team to coordinate patient care and optimize office workflow
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental office, with proficiency in Open Dental software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications are a plus
