DentistNationalRefresh Valley DentalNorthampton, MA 01060 Refresh Valley Dental is a private dental practice in Northampton, MA, and we’re looking to hire an associate dentist!
Are you tired of working in an office where the equipment is falling apart? Do you feel pressured to recommend treatment you don’t believe in? Do you wish your team was more unified? Do you want more career growth potential? Are you considering trying something new?
At Refresh Valley Dental, we want our office to be a refreshingly positive space in the dental world. Our practice mission is to help people be healthy, eat the foods they want, and smile with confidence. Our core values are compassion, teamwork, communication, and competence. Our team is hard working, weird, and absolutely a blast to be around. The office is located in Northampton, Massachusetts - a fun college town with plenty of good restaurants, galleries, cafes, and bookstores, and a building music scene. The office was built in 2021 in a relatively new building with lots of big windows. We have new and modern equipment available including a scanner and CBCT. It’s a good place to be.
This opportunity is part time or full time with some flexibility in hours. New dentists will have an introductory period with a guaranteed paycheck. After that, they will be paid on adjusted production minus labs and implant parts, and can join our health insurance plan. They will also be treated at cost at the office for any procedures we are able to do. Associate dentists will have up to $2000 annual continuing education reimbursement for approved courses as well. While partnership is not guaranteed, our current dentist owner is interested in long-term business partnership with the right person. To help minimize restrictions on our treatment, and maximize provider compensation, we are only in network with four PPO plans, and plan to drop most if not all of them within the next 3 years. We do not accept Mass Health and have no plans to. The current dentist does not do orthodontics or periodontal procedures, rarely does molar endo, and dislikes both pediatric dentistry and dentures (fixed or traditional), so those procedures could easily be in-house referred to a new associate who was interested. The practice is currently booking out two to three weeks for dental procedures, and about three months for new patients. We have had to significantly decrease our marketing due to the inability to get new patients in, but with another provider on board would be happy to ramp it up again.
While excited to serve the whole community, we have a special interest in making our queer patients feel comfortable and respected. We also have quite a few patients who have dental anxiety that has prevented them from addressing their dental health for years. We offer them patience, understanding, and a non-judgmental environment, so they can finally get the work done that they need. We also have a special interest in food security, and are proud to be partnering with the Northampton Survival Center to donate a month’s worth of free healthy groceries for every new patient who comes in for an exam. While we understand this might not be the ideal environment for everyone, we’re hoping that the right dentist will feel right at home here.
Ideally, the dentist for this job will be a compassionate and patient individual, who is eager to continue growing professionally. New graduates are encouraged to apply; the owner doctor is happy to mentor. A Massachusetts dental license and CPR certification will be needed before starting.
