Treatment Plan Presenter/Team builder for General Dentist. Looking for someone with the gift of treatment presentation and relationship building with patients and staff. Will need to use people skills and advanced dental knowledge to create and maintain a full schedule. * Perform scaling, cleaning and polishing of teeth.
* Render Treatment to gums and tissue surrounding teeth.
* Develop and conduct a dental health education program, instruct inmates/residents in preventive dental techniques
* Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
* Take impressions for study Casts
* Spend a minimum of 75% of time performing duties which involve direct contract with inmates/residents.
*Qualifications: *
* Must be *licensed and/or certified as a dental hygienist in the state of Tennessee*.
* A valid driver's license is preferred, unless required by contract or applicable statute.

Position Summary: Exceptional Dental is looking for a part time hygienist to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a positive team player who loves connecting with patients.The anticipated schedule for this position is Fridays only.
Essential Functions:
Welcome and seat patient cheerfully.
Prepare and properly set up treatment rooms for hygiene procedures.
Review and update patient’s health history, chart progress, treatments, and home care compliance.
Clean calculus deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums, using dental instruments, including scaling and root planning for patients with periodontal disease
Apply fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
Examine gums, using probes, to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease; communicate findings to patient and doctor.
Selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient’s mouth, as needed.
Educate and motivate patient on proper oral hygiene and corrective/preventative measures.
Schedule appropriate re-care appointments.
Assist hygiene assistant in sterilization duties.
Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.
Experience and Education:
Associate's Degree from ADA accredited dental hygienist school
Current State Licensure
CPR Certification
Preferred one year dental experience.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Standing 60%

Moderate noise level from lab and dental equipment

*Responsibilities*
* Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
* Have a knowledge of implant dentistry, or be willing to learn more about implant dentisty.
* Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
* Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all patients, particularly children, during their visits.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
* Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
* Experience or training in implants is preferred.
* Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental management software is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially children.
