POSITION: Staff Dentist
SCHEDULE: Part Time ~ Choose your schedule (8- 28 hours per week/ per diem also available)
FACILITY: Northern New Hampshire Correctional Facility
LOCATION: Berlin, New Hampshire
SALARY: $100 per hour (W2 status) or $125 per hour (1099 status)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Dentist, licensed in the state of New Hampshire, is responsible and accountable for providing oral health care to patients such as fillings, extractions, dentures, root canals, etc. and for supervising the dental staff and managing the dental activity with the facility.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
-Provides preventive and restorative treatment to all inmates.
-Performs and interprets radiographic examinations as indicated.
-Performs all general dentistry services including, but not limited to restorative, surgical, periodontal, endodontic and prosthodontic services as described by facility policy.
-Provides overall supervision of the dental department including hiring, coaching, counseling, administering discipline and termination of subordinate staff as needed.
-Supervise staff in cleaning of teeth, making impressions for prosthetic devices, planning and maintaining an oral hygiene program, completing appropriate records accurately and all procedures associated with the provision of dental care.
-Arrange proper referral for procedures that cannot be performed on-site at facility.

Our dentistry department is operating out of 4 operatories and currently staffed with 1 dentist, 2 hygienists, 3 assistants and front desk staff.
We are looking for a dentist to provide general dentistry and for this role you should be personable, mission-driven, good communicator, practical, patient-centered, team oriented, good sense of humor, and self-directed.
Great opportunity for someone to be involved in the expansion of a growing safety-net dental practice.
