* Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal charting, and other preventive care procedures
* Take and review radiographs (periapical, bitewing, panoramic) and intraoral images as needed
* Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments
* Educate patients and parents/guardians on proper oral hygiene, treatment plans, and preventive care
* Collaborate with Doctors regarding treatment needs and communicate findings clearly
* Utilize Dentrix to accurately enter notes and treatment information
* Maintain infection control standards by following OSHA and office protocols
* Work with the Hygiene Assistant to manage patient flow, operatory setup/cleaning, and instrument sterilization
* Partner with the dental team to ensure a smooth, efficient schedule and a positive patient experience
* Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
*Education and Experience:*
* Current Dental Hygiene license in the state of New Mexico (required)
* Current CPR certification (required)
* Local Anesthesia certification (preferred)
* Strong interpersonal and patient education skills

We are currently offering a unique opportunity for a part-time Dentist to provide general dentistry services. Dentists will provide problem-focused dental services, with an emphasis on oral surgery. DOCS manages all staffing, invoicing, and ordering of dental supplies. No weekend/evening hours, on-call service, or third-party billing. The Dentist will have direct access to DOCS’ Chief Dental Officer for clinical consultation and support. DOCS provides malpractice reimbursement.
*Responsibilities*
* Exam, diagnose and treat patients consistent with professional standards within defined scope of service.
* Treatment of acutely symptomatic concerns
* Perform routine and surgical extractions
* Document each dental encounter utilizing the SOAP format, update the patient's health history, and obtain patient consent prior to delivering care.
* Submit patient treatment log to Corporate Office after each dental visit
* Perform dental services within designated hours of operations
