*Who You Are: *
You are a registered Dental Hygienist looking for a new opportunity! You’re a team player – someone who’s enthusiastic, energetic and has a desire to grow and learn. You’re comfortable with discussing treatment with patients, skilled in soft tissue management, and motivated by helping our patients develop and maintain good oral health.
*What You Do Really, Really Well:*
· Perform cleanings
· Apply sealants and fluorides
· Take and develop X-Rays
· Keep track of patient care and treatment plans
· Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, such as how to brush and floss correctly
· Sterilize dental instruments and tools
*Your Ideal Skills and Experience:*
· 1+ years of experience as a Dental Hygienist
· Associate degree in Dental Hygiene required
· Current CPR certification required
· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules

As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health/safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. If you also have a great chairside manner, we’d like to meet you!
*Responsibilities*
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination, sterilize dental instruments properly, conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history, take x-rays, identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, periodontitis, as well as, restorative treatment; periodontal and dental charting, perform prophy/SRP/periodontal maintenance.
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care, the relationship between oral and systemic health, prevention of disease, provide instruction/detail regarding other dental procedures. Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation.
*Requirements and skills:*
Current state licensure, BLS, and proof of graduation from accredited hygiene program
In-depth knowledge/certification of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA, Infection control, Radiography )
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Knowledge of Dentrix software
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job and ability to manage time.
