Float Dentist handles all aspects of general dentistry. Diagnoses and treats patients consistent with her/his training and expertise. Float Dentist will replace Dentists who are taking CE, vacation, who are absent, or other needs.
Work Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (required)
Responsibilities:
Providing preventative dental care and clinical dental services in a community health center setting.
Uses EPIC, digital Dexis X-ray and NextGen Electronic Health Records System.
Delivers high quality care to patients.
Manages and directs staff assignments and activities in accordance with Marin Community Clinics, Dental Compliance Policies and Procedures, Dental Manual, and applicable California Laws.
When not needed to replace a Dentist, Float Dentist will perform Dental Hygienist duties.
The Float Dentist will be required to work at all MCC’s Dental Clinic locations including our MCC’s Dental Van (stationary).
Be able to work different shifts as needed (daytime or evening).

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Graduate of ADA Accredited Dental School.
Must possess a valid DDS/DMD License to practice in California.
Active California Dental License & BLS Certification.

Prior experience working in community health environment a plus.
Prior experience working with children preferred.

A Pediatric Dentists provides oral care and treatment for children from infancy through their teenage years. The Pediatric Dentist is expected to provide a quality pediatric.
Responsibilities:

The Dental Assistant and/or Registered Dental Assistant supports MCC's Dental Clinics with a wide range of duties, and supports Dentists at all times and focuses on delivering excellent customer service to our patients.
Hiring Bonus:
Employees who work 24 hours a week or more are eligible to receive a $1,000 hiring bonus.
Work Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday from 8:00am - 5:00pm
Shift Differential:
Evening and weekend shifts (4 hours) with direct patient contact include a 10% pay differential in addition to regular salary. Evening differential is paid only for completed 4 hour shifts that begin after 4:00pm.
Responsibilities:
Greets and welcomes patients and visitors to practice with excellent customer services.
Escorts patients to treatment room, seats patients and has proper set-up for procedure ready.
Assists patients with comfortable level.
Verifies patients chart and update health information as necessary during patient arrival and at end of appointment.
Informs Dentist when patient is ready for treatment.
Ensures proper treatment notes are accurately recorded in patients Electronic Health Records Dentrix chart.
Performs Coronal polish.
Conducts pre-patient staff meeting in the morning each day.
Checks patient schedules daily for accuracy and post in all treatment rooms.
Checks lab daily for necessary equipment to treat patients.
Checks operatories for necessary armaments for patient visits and prepare next day supplies.
Provides oral hygiene instruction and nutritional counseling to patients.
Monitors supplies inventory and requests supplies as needed and stock treatment rooms at all times.
Complies with all OSHA, Dental Board and MCC policies.
Prepares dental units for Dentist, stocks units and ensures that units are clean at all times.
Oversees cleanliness of treatment room according to sterilization procedures.

Current CPR Certification required.

Tuesday - Saturday from 8:00am - 5:00pm
Shift Differential:
Evening and weekend shifts (4 hours) with direct patient contact include a 10% pay differential in addition to regular salary. Evening differential is paid only for completed 4 hour shifts that begin after 4:00pm.
Responsibilities:
Greets and welcomes patients and visitors to practice with excellent customer services.
Escorts patients to treatment room, seats patients and has proper set-up for procedure ready.
Assists patients with comfortable level.
Verifies patients chart and update health information as necessary during patient arrival and at end of appointment.
Informs Dentist when patient is ready for treatment.
Ensures proper treatment notes are accurately recorded in patients Electronic Health Records Dentrix chart.
Performs Coronal polish.
