Position Overview:
The Dental Assistant is a proactive, people-person who enjoys making patients feel comfortable in the dental office and proactively assisting Dr. Rod, along with our two other doctors (Dr. Paola and Dr. Heravi), in providing best-in-class patient care through preparing treatment rooms, capturing high quality dental radiographs, recording treatment information, providing post-operative instructions as given by the dentist, among other tasks. Our office focuses on traditional dentures, snap-in dentures, and All-on-4 and#34;teeth-in-a-day.and#34;
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients into treatment room and ensure they are prepared for doctor’s visit
- Prepare treatment rooms to ensure all tables and trays and all other details are prepared for the doctor
- Accurately document patient history and updates, along with any other small details in order for the team to reference in the future to provide a more personalized experience
- Sterilize instruments as needed
- Take and mount high quality dental x-rays
- Ensure there’s always an appropriate amount of inventory for the practice
- Perform patient charted as directed by the doctor
- Assist during surgeries (full mouth extractions, bone grafting, implant placement, etc.)
- Assist on our denture side (taking impressions, softliners, adjustments, etc.)

- Has dependable job attendance and can be relied on the follow through with assigned tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or a Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF)
· Minimum of 3 years in the dental profession
· Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RDA
· Proven capability to follow defined policies and guidelines
· Current CPR certification and radiology certification preferred
