*Duties*
* Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.
* Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while ensuring proper infection control and aseptic techniques.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong oral health habits.
* Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
* Maintain a sterile environment through infection control protocols, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of biohazard materials.
* Document treatment details thoroughly, review documentation for accuracy, and assist with medical coding for billing purposes.
* Support the dental team by managing appointment scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks as needed.
*Experience*
* Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting.
* Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
* Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, demonstrating comfort working with children of all ages.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and medical records management to support comprehensive patient care.
* Prior experience in general dentistry or specialized fields such as pediatric dentistry enhances your candidacy.
