Normal and traditional Front Office responsibilities for this position include:
•Hygiene scheduling; hygiene recall.
•Post insurance payments; access electronic insurance EOB’s for printing and posting EFT payments.
•Verify insurance and check for Medicaid eligibility.
•Determine amount of money that insurance will pay and what amount the patient owes. Collect patient portion of fee prior to procedures.
•Confirm patients, including using Dentrix software for text confirmations, and checking for email confirmations.
•Daily balancing of money with Dentrix system; run end of day “close” process on system.
•Monthly billing statements and month end closing process on Dentrix.
•Send digital x-rays to other dental offices and utilize their Patient Portals, when present.
•Collection of past due accounts.
This position requires someone with strong attention to detail traits.
Experience with Dentrix software a plus.
Chairside assisting background and experience is also a plus, in the rare event that the doctor may need some help due to assistants being absent.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Smilepoint Difference - In our Patient-centric model, traditional responsibilities of Insurance Verification, Billing, Collection, Aging, Patient Statements, Marketing, Profit and Loss Management, Reporting, Payroll etc have been taken away from the Office Manager and Front Office and outsourced to a large central team. Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience as a Treatment Coordinator or in a similar dental role
Familiarity with Open Dental Software is preferred
