Description

Modern medium-sized periodontal practice located in Hermitage, TN has 1 doctor on staff offering the latest technology in periodontal and implant care. . We are looking for someone with a great attitude and excellent communication skills who will be committed to our patient's well-being by being gentle, compassionate, and giving quality care. We currently have a Monday and Tuesday schedule available ASAP. - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing - Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans - Take digital xrays (Panorex, FMX) including CT scans - Document patient information and treatment plans in electronic medical records systems such as Eaglesoft and Open Dental. - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide oral health instructions - Assist the dentist during procedures, including providing suction, passing instruments, and taking impressions - Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a clean and sterile environment -Administer local anesthesia as needed Qualifications: - Valid dental hygiene license in Tennessee - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program - Proficiency in medical documentation and electronic health records systems such Eaglesoft, Open Dental and Word. - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment procedures - Experience in dental assisting or working in a dental office setting is preferred - Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health care - Knowledge of infection control protocols and adherence to safety guidelines Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
