Job description Western Reserve Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is excited to announce that we are currently looking for a Surgical Assistant to join our team. This position requires that the candidate have at least two years of Surgical and/ or Dental Assisting Experience, preferably in an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery setting (but not required), along with a current Radiology Certificate; DAANCE certification a bonus. This unique opportunity offers a 4 day work week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. No late nights, or weekends required, paid holidays, a 401K as well as Medical insurance options available. No on call responsibilities. Bonus system if eligible. We are an Oral Surgery practice looking for a full-time/4 days a week, off Wednesday, surgical assistant. Dental assisting experience and current x-ray license is REQUIRED for consideration and pay rate will commensurate with experience level. Oral surgery assisting experience is preferred, but not required This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to join a supportive team and willing to learn new skills. We're searching for a Surgical Assistant who wants to join a truly patient-centered surgical group. In this highly collaborative role, you will ensure our patients are comfortable and prepared for treatment and serve as a valuable resource to our practice's surgeon during a variety of treatment procedures. Dental implant familiarity is preferred. Duties include: • Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude. • Radiology certification required. • Operate X-ray and 3D scanning equipment for diagnostic purposes. • Patient case coordination, prepare patient charts, recording treatment plans and updating dental/medical records. • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols. • Prepare patients for surgery and monitoring during procedures. • Assist the surgeon with all chairside procedures including, but not limited to , operatory setup, anesthesia administration and cleanup. • Provide patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative instructions. • Assist with other tasks as assigned. • Advanced knowledge with WIN OMS ideal. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Monitor surgical supplies and medication, order as needed. • Provide patient care follow up calls. Office hours are M, T, TH 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. F 8-2 p.m. No nights or weekends. No on call. Paid Holidays, Personal Days, Medical Insurance and 401(k) available. Bonus system if eligible. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience.
