Our focus is cosmetic dentistry: Implants, root canals and crown & bridge. Experienced dental assistant performs a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Dental assistants prepare patients for oral examination and assist other dental professionals in providing treatment to the teeth, mouth, and gums. Dental assistants must work effectively with co-workers, patients, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions, and addressing others by name, actions, words and deeds. Must support the policies and goals of DFW Absolute Dental, and thus participate in the growth and future of the practice. ****Must Requirements for Application Consideration**** 1. Current RDA License 2. Available to work from 8am to 6pm Monday to Wednesday (Hours do vary per scheduling) 3. Must have 5+ years of experience in general dentistry. 4. Must be able to perform standard duties such as taking digital x-rays, hygiene visits, implant crown restoration, standard crown restorations including temp crowns and dentures. 5. Must have experience using invisalign, making take home bleaching trays, and in office whitening treatments. 6. Eaglesoft dental software experience and iTero preferred. 7. Bilingual in Spanish is desirable! Job Description 1. Perform functions in accordance with in Texas State RDA guide lines and regulations. 2. Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by striving to keep your patients focused on optimal treatment while attending to their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of your doctor. 3. Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable. 4. Prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctor(s) 5. Obtain dental history from patient (review patient health history). 6. Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain supply levels in each operatory. 7. Complete digital radiographs and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate. 8. Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, lab and operatory 9. Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care. 10. Record patient perio charting and notes instructed by the dentist into the dental software (Eaglesoft). 11. Prepare materials for making impressions and restorations. 12. Clean each operator in accordance with the American Dental Association and CDC guidelines. 13. Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with our office policy. 14. Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal and other regulations (e.g.,OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices). 15. Other duties as assigned by management.
