We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) skills are highly preferred to help us provide the best care and experience for our patients. Key Responsibilities: Prepare operatory rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for procedures. Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as prescribed by the dentist. Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit. Record patient medical and dental histories and update charts accurately. Perform Expanded Functions (if EFDA certified), such as placing fillings, taking impressions, fabricating temporary crowns, etc. Maintain proper infection control protocols and OSHA standards in all areas of the practice. Keep inventory of supplies and notify the team of needs for reordering. Contribute to a positive and professional office culture through excellent teamwork and communication. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program preferred. EFDA certification highly preferred (or willingness to obtain if eligible). Current CPR/BLS certification. X-ray certification (if required by state). Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
