Our established private practice is looking for an experienced REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT! A Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) performs all standard dental assistant duties, but with additional responsibilities like taking impressions, applying sealants, performing coronal polishing, taking x-rays, placing fillings, and administering topical fluoride, all under the supervision of a dentist, with the specific expanded functions depending on state regulations and their additional training and certification. Key responsibilities of an RDA may include: Patient care: Preparing patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, reviewing medical history, and providing post-treatment instructions. Chairside assistance: Setting up and breaking down operatories, passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a sterile field during dental procedures. Restorative procedures: Placing temporary fillings, applying matrix bands, cleaning debris from cavities, and assisting with final adjustments to fillings. Preventive care: Applying topical fluoride, placing sealants, and performing coronal polishing. Radiography: Taking dental X-rays Impression taking: Taking alginate impressions for casts and models Infection control: Maintaining sterilization protocols and following safety guidelines Maintaining equipment Our hours are Monday- Thursday 7:00 am-3:30 PM.
